As the scripture says, we should “speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs…” It is so crucial what we speak to one another. It is even more crucial what we speak into our own lives. The Bible states in Proverbs 18:21 that “Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue.” So, what did you speak into your life today? What did you download into your spirit this morning? Was it a Bible scripture, a hymn or your favorite gospel song, or was it with something that will neither benefit you nor bless you throughout the day?
I find that the very thing that I allow into my senses (ears, eyes, etc.) when I wake up in the morning will either have a positive or negative impact on my day. Therefore, I make an effort to feed or download my spirit with something that will nurture and strenghen me. In other words, I take my spiritual vitamins through prayer, scripture, praise, or song. Yes, there are days when time overtakes me and I must rush, but I make a conscious effort to get in one of those “vitamins” before I leave the house. When I start my day with Him (Jesus Christ) — my Savior — the one who woke me up this morning, then it makes all the difference. Well, that’s my testimony for today, but try Him for yourself. Be encouraged. Peace~
