The whole Truth

There are too many of us in the “Church” who say we are Christians, but we want to have a tailored Christian existence.  In other words, we take from the Bible what we like and cast out the rest as outdated or even untrue.  Some of us give it an entirely different meaning or interpretation to make our sinful lifestyle more comfortable and acceptable.  However, the Bible clearly states in Revelation 22:19 that “…if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life.”

We can’t say that we love the Lord, but only accept part of His written Word.  Jesus said that if you love Him, you will obey all of His commandments (1 John 5:3).  Others say the Bible has errors because men wrote it.  How would you rather receive God’s word?  Would you rather the Word of God appear to you on pages through a bolt of lightning?  The Bible says that “…holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (2Peter 1:21).

Please, if you are going to call yourself a Christian or follower of Christ, do as He commanded.  What did He command?  Jesus said that we must “love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” (Mat. 22:37).    Please do not be deceived; don’t call yourself a Christian because you go to church every Sunday or because you grew up in the church.  God wants us to have a full and personal relationship with Him.  We cannot go to church on Sunday and spend the rest of the week doing the will of the flesh (Galations 5:19-21).  Ask Christ to come into your life and make Him your personal Savior.  Say This Prayer and He is faithful to forgive all your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.  However, If you refuse to hear His word and follow His commandments then you must accept the consequences (Romans 1:26:32).  So, let all us as Christians except the truth (Gospel – word of God), the whole truth, and nothing but the TRUTH.  Amen.

  1. Great truth; I fully agree with all that you have written. Continue the good work and may the Lord bless all the works of your hands and give you more revelation for His people.
    Remain blessed.

  2. Bess,

Amen. I just read on someone else blog that people are not prepared to handle the whole truth…so they prefer to look over at the ugly truth in the bible and sugarcoat it but to their own destruction. Thank you…great post!

    God bless,

  3. Good morning, Gladwell. Yes, it’s so important for us to accept the whole truth. I pray this for the body of Christ. We must be “Believers” in every sense of the word.

    God bless~
